Websites for trades that answer “how much?” before the phone rings

Most people comparing plumbers, electricians or builders decide who to call before they call anyone. We build trade websites that publish your price ranges, show the jobs and the places you cover, and match your Google Business Profile. Proven on a Morley heating engineer who went from no website to 24 pages in ten days.

The Problem

Busy on the job, invisible online

Most trades don't have a poor website because they don't care. They have one because they're busy doing the work, and the website is the job saved for a quiet week that never comes. Meanwhile the Google profile has two photos and no opening hours, and the only way to find out a price is to ring.

Your customers are comparing three firms at nine at night, when you're not answering the phone. The one that shows a price range, the areas it covers and some finished jobs gets the call in the morning. The others never hear about it.

What We Build

Six things every trade website should do

i.

Publish the price

Ranges, clearly labelled as typical, with the fixed price after a survey. It filters out the enquiries that were never going to book, and it's the one thing most of your competitors won't do.

ii.

One page per job

“Boiler service” and “emergency plumber” are different searches made by different people. Each service gets its own page answering its own question, rather than one page listing everything.

iii.

Towns with something to say

A page for each town you genuinely cover, written about the houses and the jobs there. Copies with the place name swapped are doorway pages, and Google discounts them.

iv.

Credentials that check out

Gas Safe, NICEIC, insurance, company number: every claim stated plainly and checked against the register or the paperwork before it goes on a page.

v.

A Google profile that agrees

The same trading name, hours and service areas on the profile and the site, plus photos of finished work and regular posts. How it works: local SEO and service areas.

vi.

Enquiries while you work

Tap-to-call on every page, a short form, and if you want it, an AI assistant that answers price questions from your own price list, day and night: £79 a month with Growth, Local Pro or Partner.

Case Study · Morley

Brearley Gas Services: no website to 24 pages in ten days

Brearley Gas Services website homepage, with the price card above the fold

Andy Brearley has been plumbing and heating for fifteen years, from Bank Square in the middle of Morley, and he's Gas Safe registered. His Google Business Profile had no website attached, no opening hours and two photos.

From first research on 16 October 2026 to a live site on 23 October: 24 pages, made up of seven service pages, six town pages and six guides. Every service page publishes a price range, from a full boiler service at £90–£120 and a landlord gas safety certificate at £70 to a new combi fitted at £1,800–£2,800. The Google profile now carries the trading name, hours, seven service areas and twelve photos of finished work.

What it hasn't shown yet is results. Local rankings take eight to twelve weeks to move, and we'll publish Brearley's 30, 60 and 90-day numbers in the case study, including any that disappoint.

Honest Fit

Which trades this suits, and where we stop

✓

A good fit

Plumbers, heating engineers, electricians, builders, roofers, joiners, landscapers and cleaners: sole traders and small firms who work at the customer's address and win jobs by phone. Our published trade build is a heating engineer, and the same structure carries across.

✗

Not a fit

Lead-generation directories, “guaranteed page one” deals, or a site that's live tomorrow. If you want a template you can edit yourself, a DIY builder is cheaper, and we'll say so: how the builders compare.

✓

What you get instead

A launch date agreed in writing before work starts, prices you approve before they go live, accounts in your name, and one person to call who builds the site.

Across Yorkshire

Trade websites in Wakefield, Harrogate and across Yorkshire

Trades work across town boundaries, so the website should too. A Wakefield electrician might cover Castleford and the Five Towns; a Harrogate builder might work out to Knaresborough and Ripon. Name the places you really cover, on the site and on your Google profile, and write a proper page for the ones that bring in work.

We're based in Leeds and visit trades anywhere in the county for the first conversation, a free 30-minute call at your business. See web design in Wakefield, web design in Harrogate, Morley, where Brearley is based, or every area we cover.

FAQ

Trade websites, answered

How much does a website for a tradesperson cost?
From £99 a month for a 7-page site with hosting, business email and Google Business Profile setup, plus a one-off £249 onboarding fee. Growth, at £199 a month, adds a 12-page site with a blog, 10 tracked searches and one page improved every month. There's no separate build invoice.
How long does a trade website take to build?
Around 14 working days for Essentials and about three weeks for Growth, with the launch date agreed in writing before we start. What slows a trade build down is almost always missing prices or photos, not the coding. Brearley Gas Services took ten days because the facts arrived in the first week.
Should I really publish my prices?
Yes, as ranges labelled as typical, with the fixed price after a survey. People check whether they can afford a job before they ring. A range answers that, and it saves you quoting for jobs that were never going to happen.
I'm out on jobs all day. Who keeps the site up to date?
We do. Email us a new price, a change of hours or photos of a finished job, and we make the change as part of the monthly fee. There's nothing for you to log into.
Do I own the website?
Your domain, Google Business Profile and email are in your name from day one, and the site files are yours after 12 months of service. If you ever leave, you keep the lot.
Do you cover my area?
We cover the whole of Yorkshire, West, North and South, and we visit in person. See every area we cover.
