Northallerton runs the county from County Hall, fills its High Street with market stalls twice a week, and has turned its old prison into a cinema, shops and restaurants. We build fast, mobile-first websites for DL6 and DL7 businesses, and we'll come to you to plan yours.
Northallerton is North Yorkshire's county town. County Hall, opened in 1906, is the headquarters of North Yorkshire Council, which has run the whole county as a single council since April 2023. That brings people into town on weekdays who wouldn't otherwise be there, and a good share of local work is done with firms and organisations that look you up online before they get in touch.
The High Street still works as a market street. Stalls line both sides every Wednesday and Saturday, under a market charter the council dates to around 1200. On those days the people searching are already in town, phone in hand, looking for somewhere that's open, close by and clear about what it offers.
So we build for both kinds of visitor: pages that look credible to a buyer at a desk, and that answer a passer-by in a few seconds on a phone. We're based in Leeds, we cover all of North Yorkshire, and we'll meet you in Northallerton rather than over a video call.
Hours, offers and where to find you, right before Wednesday and Saturday rather than a week after.
Clear services, credentials and contact details for the firms and organisations that vet suppliers online.
Menus, booking and opening times that read well on a phone, for the venues around Treadmills.
Local SEO and a Google Business Profile set up for the villages and towns you genuinely serve.
Hosting, SSL, backups and updates included, with changes made when you email them.
Social media planning or management as an add-on, priced separately from the website.
Northallerton's prison closed in 2013 after more than two centuries. The site has since been rebuilt as Treadmills, named after the treadmill prisoners were once made to work, with shops, restaurants and an Everyman cinema that opened in May 2023. It has given the town an evening trade it didn't have before, and new competition for anyone selling food, drink or a night out.
That changes what a local website has to do. Someone choosing where to eat before a film compares two or three places on their phone in the time it takes to walk the High Street, and the menu, the prices and a booking button that works are what win it. On the map, Google favours businesses close to the person searching, so your strongest map results will be around where you're based. Further out, a page for each place you genuinely work gets you into the ordinary results. We'll tell you which towns are worth a page and which aren't.
Yes. A business buyer reads more and checks more: what you've done, who for, your accreditations and how quickly you reply. The site leads with that, rather than with offers and opening hours.
Only if you want to. Most clients email us a new price, a change of hours or a photo of a finished job, and we make the change as part of the monthly fee. There's nothing to log into and nothing to break.
